Tourist attraction in Ho Chi Minh city

Considered as “The Pearl of the Far East”, Ho Chi Minh City is a famous travelling spot in Vietnam. Bellows are some tourist attractions suggested for you in Ho Chi Minh city

  1. Notre Dame Cathedral

Situated in District no1, Notre Dame Cathedral has long been a symbol of Saigon. The church was designed by a French architect and the construction began in 1877. Its architecture is a combination of Western style and Roma and Gothic style. Especially, the church is considered as the most artistically and historically valuable construction in Saigon.

  1. Vinh Nghiem pagoda

The pagoda was built in 1964 by Northern monks, nuns, Buddhists’ living in Saigon contributed. It is a spacious pagoda with many Buddha statues and is decorated with many Chinese parallel sentences. Besides being a sacred place for worship, the pagoda also attracts tourists to visit.

  1. Ho Chi Minh museum

The museum is located at No.1 Nguyen Tat Thanh street, District 4. President Ho Chi Minh’s personal items including some of his clothing and sandals are displayed here.

  1. Cu Chi tunnels

Cu Chi tunnels are located in Phu My Hung town, Cu Chi district with the length of 250 kilometers and  the depth of 3-8 meters. It is the most powerful evidence of the effort as well as the sacrifice of thousands of Vietnamese people during the struggle for national independence.

  1. Jamia Al Muslim Cathedral

Being one in 12 mosques in Ho Chi Minh city, Jamia Al Muslim  Cathedral was built in 1935 and serves as a worship place for people from India, Pakistan and Indonesia.

  1. Hindu Mariamman temple

Located at No. 45 Truong Dinh Street, District 1, the temple was named after Mariamman sister. With solemn atmosphere and colorful design, the temple is a place worth visiting.

Western street is located in District 1. It has been voted as a must-visit place in Ho Chi Minh city by Lonely Planet magazine.

  1. Ben Thanh market

Being one of the most oldest market in Ho Chi Minh city, Ben Thanh market  was constructed in 19th century with 4 gates. Many goods including souvenirs, crafts, clothes are sold here.
