1. Guide (s):
Mr. Huynh (Centre of Vietnam): Huynh is an excellent guide. He explained all
the places to us in great detail. He took us through a Bahnar village and we met
Rit, a young lady who spoke very good English and hopes to be a tour guide. I
believe she will do well in this area. Our trip to the Tri Border area was most
interesting. We then went to Eva Coffee in Kon Tum. What a wonderful place to
visit. It was so peaceful there. Thank you to Huynh for a very memorable tour.
2. Accommodation:
Indochine Hotel (In Kontum): This hotel has so much potential given its size
however the staff need some training in dealing with tourists. Although I
understand that it is not the tourist destination that HCMC or Hanoi are, the
management would greatly benefit from a visit to hotels like Caravelle or Rex to
see first hand the kind of standard that could easily be achieved, particularly
in maintenance and catering. Having said that though, we did enjoy our stay
there.
3. Transport (Land, water):
Mr Trong was a very capable driver and we felt very safe with his driving. He
was very obliging and also drove us back to Pleiku when we left for HCMC.
4. Places you visited:
Dak To, Ho Chi Minh Highway, Kon Tum district. All very enjoyable.
5. Design and management of your tour:
The stay in Kon Tum from our pick up at Pleiku to our return there, was
excellent. Luong, thanks so much to you and Mai who I had many emails to and
from prior to our departure, for planning a great stay. In particular, I do
appreciate your honesty when I sent too much money for this trip. I will put
that down to my old age.
6. Are there any recommendations or criticisms of services, restaurants,
shops, visit sites and so on that you’ve visited on your own?
Please see my earlier comments. I will certainly have no hesitation in
recommending Gia Linh Travel to my friends.
