My Khe Beach

My Khe Beach, 2 km from downtown Danang, includes what was known as China Beach and used for rest and recreation by American GIs during the Vietnam War. This 900 meter long beach is composed of white sand fringed with palm trees and immortalized for many by the US television show and still one the most spectacular beach in Asia.

The foundation of swimming beach is smooth sand with gentle slope and there are not big waves and whirlpool here. Despite being the most crowded beach in Danang, My Khe is still one of the beaches without pollution of environment. The annual mean temperature is 25 degrees. It is convenient for the tourist operation because of some enabling conditions such as being near the city’s center, large space, beautiful landscapes, and qualified services (hotels, restaurants, vehicles keeping site, fresh water bathing, sunshade and buoy lease, etc). Visitors to My Khe would love to try coastal specialties like shrimps, crabs, fish, and especially cuttles of special flavor that nowhere to be found.

Han River suspension bridge was completed; it links the east to the west area, making transportation possible. Consequently, My Khe beach becomes an attractive resort.
