Location: On Trai Thuy hill - the door to the south of Nha Trang City.
This is the biggest Buddhist pagoda in Khanh Hoa, formerly the Branch of the
Buddhist Institute of Central Vietnam with a great white Buddha statue
overlooking most of Nha Trang City.
Constructed in the 19th century and rebuilt in 1940, the overall architecture
bears much modernity compared to many others ancient pagodas. Yet, it is still
attractive to many thanks to the majestic structure, beautiful landscapes, and
an easy access from the roads. Beside the huge pagoda are rows of classrooms,
offices, etc. hidden in the foliage of age-old trees and orchards that ease down
one’s mind and enhance the quietness of the place.
