How to get to Can Tho

Being city under (the jurisdiction of) the central government, Can Tho is a trading center of Mekong Delta which has long been known as a famous travelling destination as well.

Thanks to developed infrastructure, tourists can go to Can Tho by many ways.

 By air way

Can Tho has an international airport which offers services for domestic and foreign tourists. From Hanoi capital, you can use Vietnam Airlines with the airfare about 1.800.000vnd to 2.700.000vnd/person/returned ticket.

For those who are in Danang, Con Dao or Phu Quoc, a flight ticket from Vietnam Airlines can take you to Can Tho.

By road

Generally, most of tourists travelling in Ho Chi Minh City and other surrounding provinces choose to travel to Can Tho by road. Hereafter is some options:

  • Coach : From Mien Tay bus station ( 395 Kinh Duong Vuong, An Lac ward, Binh Tan district, Ho Chi Minh City), you can buy tickets of some suggested coach brands such as Phuong Trang, Mai Linh, Thanh Buoi. The price for a ticket varies between 100.000vnd and 150.000vnd. It takes you about 3 hours to reach Can Tho
  • Motorbike: it is a good idea for backpackers to travel to Can Tho by motorbike. Starting at Ho Chi Minh City, you just follow national route 1A, pass My Thuan bridge and then turn left toward Can Tho.
