The average temperature of Sapa is 15 Degree Celsius with the highest temperature in April (33 Degree Celsius) and the lowest temperature in January (0 Degree Celsius). The average humidity varies between 85-90% and Sapa receives an average rainfall of 2,762 mm per year.

Hue weather

Hue is a travelling city in the centre of Vietnam with a lot of famous relics and attractions. The weather in Hue is special and much different from that of other provinces in the North and the South of Vietnam.

The climate in Hue is tropical monsoon (mixture). Therefore, there is no absolute winter or dry season in Hue like in the North, or the South.

The weather in Hue is divided into 2 types:  hot-dry, and cold-wet. The hot season starts in May, and ends in September due to the influence of Southwest wind. The average temperature is about 27 – 29oC. It is hottest in May, and June with the temperature about 38-40oC. Meanwhile, the cold season streches from October to March. At this time, owing to the influence of monsoon from the North, it rains a lot and becomes colder in Hue. The average temperature is about 20 – 22oC. The lowest temperature measured is 8oC.

One of the most impressive and unforgettable features of Hue is rain which can be considered as “specialty” of Hue. Rainy season usually begins from early September. Especially, rain has been an endless inspiration for art and music.

Weather in Da Nang city

Da Nang is a developed city which has many entertainment areas, tourism services and beauty spots. Especially, Da Nang has cool climate all year round, therefore, you can visit Da Nang at any time.

Da Nang has tropical monsoon climate with two separate seasons namely rainy season and dry season. Danang climate is a mixture of the North and the South’s climate.

Rainy season usually lasts from August to December. Dry season falls from January to July. During dry season, Da Nang is subjected to cold air from Northern region of Vietnam.

The average temperature of Da Nang is 29,5 Degree Celsius. Temperatures are highest between June and August (with daily temperature reaching 28-30 Degree Celsius). Temperatures are lowest between December and February (with daily temperature reaching 18-23 Degree Celsius). Mountainous areas with the height of 500 meters above sea level has lowest temperature of 19 Degree Celsius and Ba Na hills has lowest  temperature of 12-13 Degree Celsius.

The average annual rainfall in Da Nang is about 2000-2700 mm.  Its average humidity is 82%.

Phong Nha Ke Bang nationl park

Phong Nha Ke Bang national park was recognized as a world natural heritage in 2003 by UNESCO. It is located between Bo Trach and Minh Hoa district of Quang Binh province, which is 500 km from Hanoi to the South.

It stands inside a karst mountainous area which is one of 238 most essential ecosystems in the world. Because it consists of over 300 caves, it is also called as “The Kingdom of caves”.

The name Phong Nha Ke Bang is the combination of Phong Nha cave and Ke Bang karst forest. The system of Phong Nha caves starts from the South of Ke Bang forest. Its length is 80km. Caves are arranged as branches of a tree.

Typical caves here are Phong Nha, Tien Son, Paradise, Dark, Swallow, Khe Ry, and especially Son Doong.

Phong Nha Ke Bang national park is famous for primitive forest of tens of over-1000-meter mountain which is so dangerous that no one has arrived. Scientists estimate that there are about 2.400 kinds of rare plants, 140 kinds of animals, 356 kinds of birds, 97 kinds of reptiles, 162 kinds of fishes, and 369 kinds of insects.

Beside a system of various caves, plants, and animals, Phong Nha Ke Bang is famous for historical and cultural relics which is the proof of ancient Vietnamese, Champa Culture, and war.

This is the most favorite destination in Quang Binh, and considered as a giant botanical museum which has not been thoroughly discovered.

Hoi An ancient town

Hoi An is an ancient town located in downstream of Thu Bon river. It was recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage in 1999. During 17th and 18th century, it was known as a crowded trading port of South East Asia.  A lot of businessmen from all over the world came here to make commercial transactions.

By 19th century, sea transportation was not as important as before, Hoi An port lose its importance. Consequently, French people began to invest in Da Nang.

Through the course of time, Hoi An was lucky not to be destroyed by war. Especially, unlike other cities in Vietnam, it was not urbanized. By 1980s, it caught public attention for its architectural and cultural value. From then on, Hoi An became a travelling spot, attracting visitors from many countries to visit.

According to current statistics, Hoi An has 1360 historical and scenic sites in total. These including 1068 ancient buildings, 19 pagodas, 43 temples,  38 churches, 5 communal houses, 11 ancient wells, 1 bridge and 41 tombs.

Not only does Hoi An have cultural value, it’s also managed to preserve its traditions and customs. It is the place that marks the cultural exchange of Vietnamese and Champa people.

Ninh Binh tourist attractions

Ninh Binh is famous for cultural and historical relics as well as tourist attractions. Don’t ignore these places if you travel to Ninh Binh someday.

  1. Temple, pagodas:

Bai Dinh pagoda: Its area is 700 ha, located in Gia Vien commune, Ninh Binh province. Bai Dinh pagoda is considered as one of the biggest pagodas in Asia because of the biggest Buddha statue and the longest hall of Arhat statues in Asia. Besides, this is the place where many Buddha treasures are kept.

Bich Dong pagoda: Bich Dong pagoda is located on karst mountain Truong Yen, Ninh Hai commune, Hoa Lu district, Ninh Binh province. It was built in 1428 and has been renovated several times. Hoa Lu ancient capital: Although Hoa Lu ancient capital has been under the emperor of Dinh, First Le, Ly, it still remains undamaged system of ancient houses in the city during 1000 years. This is a delicate combination of natural and artificial beauty.

  1. Ba Na Hill

Located in Hoa Ninh town, Hoa Vang district and 40 kilometers far from Da Nang city, Ba Na hill is one of Vietnam Biosphere Reserves with the height of 1,489 meters above sea level. With cool climate all year round and magnificent landscape, Ba Na hill is an ideal place for visitors.

Visiting Ba Na hill, you can also go to a village with French architecture. Besides, there is a system of restaurants especially a fountain attracting a lot of visitors to come to see and take pictures.

  1. Son Tra Peninsula

Son Tra Peninsula is a mushroom-shaped peninsula and considered as a primitive forest of the city. Standing on the highest point of the peninsula, you can get the whole view of the city. Hai Van pass, which connects Hue and Da Nang city, is an approximately 21 kilometers long mountain pass on National Route 1A. It reaches an altitude of 500 meters. From the pass, you can get the view of Da Nang city, Cu Lao Cham and Lang Co beach.

  1. Han River Bridge

Han River Bridge has long been a symbol of Da Nang tourism and a great pride of local people. It is the first swing bridge to be built in Vietnam. In the evening, you will have opportunity to enjoy the colorful and sparkling beauty of it.

  1. Dragon Bridge

Its construction completed in 2013. Dragon Bridge is listed as the bridge with the most unique structure in Vietnam. The six lane bridge emulates the shape of the dragon in Ly Dynasty.

Situated on the foot of Marble Mountain, the village is specialized in decorating items, household items and souvenirs. Found in the century 18, most of villagers started this traditional job in the century 19. Visiting the village, you will see their sophisticated products such as Buddha statues and other accessories.

Mai Chau attractions

Mai Chau is a mountainous district of  Hoa Binh province, which is 140 km from Hanoi to the North. It is an ideal place for the people who want to get away from the difficult life in cities.

Travellers totally can choose motorbike or car as a means of transport in Mai Chau. If travelling car, it only takes you about 3 hours to get to Mai Chau from Hanoi. Hereafter is some tourist attractions in Mai Chau:

Lac village: It is a 700 year old village where Thai people have lived from generation to generation by growing rice and weaving. Houses are built without space, facing to the main street. Visiting this village, you will have opportunity to learn about Thai people’s culture by joining their campfire, and dancing with them.

Thung Khe pass: Travellers absolutely can see the whole Mai Chau from Thung Khe pass which is on 6th national route. Driving on this pass will let you see many different but beautiful scenes. Poom Coong village: This is the place where over 300 people live. It attracts travellers because of unique houses on stilt and special life routines of people here. Travellers can buy some brocades from Thai girls here.

Mo Luong cave: In Thai’s language, Mo Luong means a great circuit which flows from Pu Kha mountain. It has 2 main gates which all lead to fields and houses in the valley. There are 4 main grottoes which stored weapons in war inside this cave. Under this cave is an underground stream flowing from the inside of the mountain.

Ba Khan: This is a small commune of Mai Chau, near Hoa Binh hydropower. It is also called as “Ha Long on the ground” because of its mountains which is nearly 200m high. Travellers can hire kayak boats to explore Ba Khan.
