Sorry for the delay, but here is the comments about our trip to your
wonderful country.
I just have to say the beach was very wonderful but they need to clean the
garbage from beach... is so sad to see such a beautiful beach with all the trash
every where, bottles plastic, baby diapers, clothings, trash paper, and tons of
garbage on the beach.... please clean the place and people are going to be happy
and healthy.
Thanks for all the friendship.
Naftuli and Alena.

I spent quite a bit of time working with Gia Linh tours in the design of our
program. I selected Gia Linh because of your excellent responsiveness and good
communications. I contacted several other agencies and found they wanted to give
me their standard tours and often were not reading my correspondence (several
offered tours starting in Saigon even though I clearly told them I was ending in
Saigon!). The tour was well-managed and we visited everything we asked for, had
plenty of time for our visits—no problem. We are very happy with what we got to
see and how things were organized.

Hi Tan: Happy to fill you in on the details. Everything in the Mekong was
superb except for the unavoidable 3 hour wait for the ferry in the Tet
crowd. Our guide, Tam, was excellent even if his English was still a work in
progress. He made himself completely available, offering to escort us to
markets or into town apart from the scheduled sightseeing, and was punctual
in meeting us (as were all the other guides and transfer escorts- this is
very reassuring in a strange country!). By contrast, Vinh, whose English was
better, didn’t do much more than the itinerary required. I know that our
first day in Hoi An he left us after our lunch and had another tour to lead,
and our 3rd day in Hoi An oour sightseeing was over at ! PM. |

We found that all guides were
helpful and helped us to enjoy our holiday. I realised there was a
miscommunication in Central Vietnam, but that was quickly sorted out. My only
recommendation from this is that if all the guides had the exact same itinerary
as the one we were given, that would have simplified matters. In addition,
because we weren’t too sure of what the tipping scenario was for our guides and
driver. It would be a good idea if this information was included in the
itineraries, specifically the rates. While I realise this is largely on a
personal preference basis, a general idea of an amount would help to avoid any
awkward situations that may arise. |

1. Guide (s):
Each guide was excellent- spoke good English, was knowledgeable and helpful
and made a real effort to help us learn about VietNam and see things we were
interested in. I think the only improvement would be that some of the places we
were taken to look at handcrafts had very high prices and the same items could
be purchased for much less in markets. It would have been nice to have been told
this. Then we could make the choice of purchasing at the more convenient
"factories" or going to the markets. |

1. Guide (s):
Mr. Luong (North of Vietnam): Was an excellent guide – one of the top guides
of the tour. He made an effort to include the children in the activities, which
they appreciated. He also made an effort to make the tour a personalised tour
for us.
Ms. Ngoc (In Sapa): Was a good guide, but not quite up to the standard of the
top guides – she was preoccupied with her part-time studies for some of the time |

Mr. Huong (In Ho Chi Minh City): Helpful, informative, prompt and very
pleasant. Willing to share with us her knowledge of her country. Assisted with
booking in and other services.
Mr. Xuan (In Dalat): Did a good job. Very helpful. The railway was not
working from Dalat Station, so we went by car to the pagoda. If we had stayed 2
days, a visit to one of the lakes would have been a good idea. |
