When visiting the Champa museum in Danang, whether in the morning or in the afternoon, on rainy or sunny days, visitors still perceive an individual atmosphere particular to this place, the reverie of reminiscences.
Built in July 1915 with the support of the Far-East Archaeological Research Institute in Hanoi, the Champa Museum now has nearly 2000 large and small sculptures. Of these, 288 are on display inside the museum, 187 objects in the garden and more than 1.200 objects are reserved in the storehouse. Most of the sculptures in the museum are original and mainly of three kinds of materials, including sandstone, terracotta and bronze. The majority of these sculptures from the 12th to the 15th century are made of sandstone with different art styles. |

Cua Dai Beach is located about 3km to the east of the center of Hoi An Town. It has long been known as the once most crowded commercial port of the southern half of the country in trading with the outside world, under the then name of Faifo.
Cua Dai Beach is over 3km in length and up to 300m in width. It boasts fine white sand, clear and blue water, moderate slopes and small waves, which make it ideal for recreational activities like swimming and other sea sports. |

After a long period of absence from the tourist map, this lovely town started to draw the attention of visitors and researchers at the beginning of the 1980’s. What is so special about Hoi An is that this little port town is in an incredible state of preservation. It offers some of the most densely concentrated sights in Vietnam with its old streets bordered with ancient houses and assembly halls, its pagodas, temples, ancient wells and tombs. In total, more than a thousand places of interest.

Marble Mountains are seemingly familiar to everybody who heard of there or has been to Danang City. There are so well known as to be a symbol of the area. The subtle, lyric and poetical ambience of pagodas, grottoes, trees, bushes, sounds the mixed of pagoda bells and murmuring waves and the mysterious legends of sea are all that are not far from the city center, making the mountains a fairy land for tourists for ages.
Almost two hundred years ago, King Minh Mang came here. He named the mountain, grottoes and pagodas. Nobody knows why names such as Ngu Hanh Son, Huyen Khong, Hoa Liem, Lang Hu, Tang Chan, Van Nguyet, Thien Long put King deep in thought, despite of dwelling on to national development, the King kept in his mind the picturesque landscape of the mountains as the pride of the beautiful southern land. |

My Khe Beach, 2 km from downtown Danang, includes what was known as China Beach and used for rest and recreation by American GIs during the Vietnam War. This 900 meter long beach is composed of white sand fringed with palm trees and immortalized for many by the US television show and still one the most spectacular beach in Asia. |

My Son, located 69 km southwest of Danang, was an imperial city during the Cham dynasty, between the 4th and 12th centuries. My Son Sanctuary is a large complex of religious relics that comprises more than 70 architectural works. They include temples and towers that connect to each other with complicated red brick designs. The main component of the Cham architectural design is the tower, built to reflect the divinity of the king.
According to records on the stone stele, the prime foundation of the ancient My Son architectural complex was a wooden temple to worship the Siva Bhadresvera genie. In the late 16th century, a big fire destroyed the temple. Step by step, historical mysteries were unveiled by scientists. Through stone stele and royal dynasties, they proved My Son to be the most important Holy Land of the Cham people from the late 4th to the 15th centuries. |

Thanh Ha Pottery village
Its source was from Thanh Hoa province and formed in the end of 15th century, after that it developed vigorously, contemporary with Hoi An port in the centuries later. Thanh Ha pottery products are made from clay soil by much defined craftsmen. The products mainly serve daily life of native people in domestic markets including bowls, jars, pots, shapes of animals, etc. They have multiform colors and shapes especially they are lighter than the same products in other places. |
